State Senate Announcement
After Senator Justin Chenette announced yesterday that he isn’t running for re-election, I have decided to step up and run for the Senate seat. I appreciate his endorsement and support in my upcoming campaign.
I’m ready to build on my work in the House championing every day Mainers to the State Senate. As many of you know, for the past 4 years, I have served as the District 14 State Rep covering downtown Saco to Camp Ellis. I’m currently the House chair of the Judiciary Committee where I’ve been on the frontlines of fighting for social justice issues and helping to bring forth that ideal of "justice for all." My entire life has centered around giving back and giving voice to those who need a fair shake. This new role would be an extension of my commitment to service. I am honored and thrilled to have this opportunity to continue serving you. I look forward to the upcoming York County Democratic Caucus and to earning your vote in this campaign. Stay tuned for how you can get involved. |
"Donna Bailey’s devotion to her community, as seen in her volunteering every week for the 13 weeks of the Saco Parks & Rec Food program, is a civics lesson for all. Donna continues to work for the community in Augusta on taxation issues, legal procedures, and of issues near and dear to Saco residents such as the Saco Shoreline and Camp Ellis Jetty. Her advocacy for Saco has been exemplary! Thank you Representative Bailey for your diligent work on behalf of our community and you have my support for State Senator!" – Bill Doyle
